About the Design
The Campfire Flames cowl is inspired by the very thing after which it’s named; the curving shapes of a campfire.
The curves are created using German short rows, and are framed by ridges of garter stitch and a neat i-cord edge. The cowl is begun with a provisional cast on, and finished with a Three Needle Bind-off, meaning there’s minimal finishing before it’s ready to wear.
The Campfire Flames cowl has a 6-section repeat, so although it’s designed for two skeins of cosy aran weight yarn, it can be easily shortened or extended depending on your preference – and your yarn stash. The pattern is written for two colours, making it a fantastic way to show off those special single skeins.
