Meet the Cozy Fireside Cardigan

Winters in the Seaway Valley of northern New York are cold, with some nights dropping to below -40°F without windchill. Once October hits, residents are pulling out thick, cozy sweaters to help fight the bitterness. This oversized, unisex cardigan was created with that in mind.

The front features traditional cables to enhance the warmth, and the back is simple stockinette, providing a break from the cables as you knit. Pair this V-neck with a scarf to complete the perfect fireside look.

Katherine Gibbs of Jojodabom

Jojodabom, also known as Katherine Gibbs, is a stitcher and designer from the NorthCounty of New York. She lives in the foothills of the Adirondacks and on the banks of the St Lawrence River where she gains most of her inspiration, for the sweaters and socks she tends to design the most.

When she is not making, she and her three littles like climbing the mountains or exploring their home, or she is busy at the local hospital where she works as an ED Nurse and cares for her patients, her stitching always close at hand.
