Meet the Contra Dance Wrap

Whether you’re enjoying a crisp day outside or cozying up inside, this lush, cabled wrap will envelop you in warmth.
The cables in this wrap evoke the intertwining of the two lines of partners in a traditional contra dance - a great way to get your blood pumping on a cold winter’s day. Or you could just grab your favorite warm beverage and envelop yourself in this cozy wrap.
Some 2-stitch cables are worked on the wrong side; all are small enough to be done without a cable needle (video link included).
Pattern also includes an option for a wide scarf.

Mary Beth Kelso

Mary Beth spent nine years working in retail – selling yarn, teaching classes, and knitting samples – before turning her attention to designing. Just as she likes a mix of TV knitting and focus projects to work on, her designs range from relaxed, mostly-stockinette projects to multiple allover stitch patterns. Her designs have appeared in Vogue Knitting, WEBS, and Tahki Stacy Charles. She also has a growing collection of instructional videos on her YouTube channel to accompany her patterns. When not designing, she gives programs at her local knitting guild and teaches crochet to seniors.
